Simulator or demo account?
A demo account runs in real time. You wait for your setup, and a quiet week gives you little to practice on. In a simulator you choose the date and step through the bars at your own pace, so you see more setups in less time and can go straight to the conditions you want to train on: trending, ranging or volatile.
A demo account is still the place to learn your broker's platform. The simulator is for building the skill.
Markets you can practice on
36 forex pairs, 19 indices, 11 crypto and 8 commodities, including gold, silver and oil. Timeframes run from 1 minute up to monthly.
History goes back up to around 22 years on the oldest forex pairs, with other instruments starting later. The data comes from Dukascopy and is cleaned to remove anomalies before it reaches your chart.
What you practice
- Execution: market, limit and stop orders with stop loss and take profit, and risk-based sizing from your stop distance.
- Review: every trade saves a snapshot of your chart, with your drawings, at the moment you placed it. Tag trades and filter your stats by tag.
- Stats: profit factor, drawdown, Sharpe, Sortino and Calmar, Monte Carlo simulation, and trading costs, since commission and slippage are applied per symbol.
- Prop firm preparation: score your backtested trades against prop firm challenges and see which ones your trading would pass.
No simulator gives you live fills or the pressure of real money on the line. What it gives you is repetition: many trades on real price action, reviewed with real numbers, before you risk anything.

- Is the trading simulator free?
- There is a free trial with full access, and no credit card is required to start it. After that it is one plan: $20 a month or $200 a year. There is no free plan.
- Can I practice forex trading on it?
- Yes. There are 36 forex pairs, on any timeframe from 1 minute up to monthly.
- Is this the same as paper trading?
- Same idea, different clock. Paper trading runs in real time. The simulator replays history, so you choose the market, the date and the pace.
- Does it run in the browser?
