Last updated: May 18, 2026
1. Introduction
At ChartLabs, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services.
Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Data
We may collect personal identification information from users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when users visit our site, register on the site, subscribe to the newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, and payment information.
Usage Data
We may also collect information on how the service is accessed and used. This data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
Cookies and Tracking Data
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our service.
Product Analytics
We collect first-party product-usage telemetry within the authenticated application in order to improve onboarding and identify where users get stuck. This data is generated by your interactions with the service and stored in our own infrastructure; it is not shared with any third-party analytics provider.
The telemetry we collect for this purpose includes:
- Anonymized event names with bounded properties — for example, onboarding step identifiers, chart dwell time in seconds, normalized page paths, and error categories
- Browser type and version, operating system, screen size, and locale
We do not collect the content of your charts, notes, trade reasoning, or chat messages as part of this telemetry.
Raw telemetry events are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted. Aggregate statistics derived from these events may be retained for longer to support long-term service improvement.
This data is accessible only to the ChartLabs operations team and is used solely to operate and improve the service. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
Our lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR — specifically, the operation and improvement of our service. If you request deletion of your account, the associated telemetry records are removed alongside your other account data.
