ChartLabs Creator Terms
Version 2026-10-05
These terms apply when you sell a strategy on ChartLabs ("you", the creator). They add to the ChartLabs Terms of Service.
1. Who sells to the buyer
ChartLabs sells access to your strategy to the buyer, in its own name, and takes the buyer's payment. You license the strategy to ChartLabs for that purpose, and ChartLabs pays you a share of each sale as set out below.
2. Prices
- You set the price. Paid strategies are priced in US dollars, at least $5.00.
- Prices include VAT and similar taxes where they apply. The buyer pays the listed price.
- ChartLabs reviews every price before a paid strategy is listed or sold, and may decline a price.
3. Your share
- You receive 70% of each sale price after VAT and similar taxes.
- A promo code you create can raise your share by up to 10 percentage points (80%). The buyer's price does not change.
- ChartLabs pays the card processing and currency fees out of its own share.
- Your share is paid in the currency of your Stripe account. Stripe converts it at its rate.
4. When you are paid
- Your share is sent to your Stripe account 14 days after the sale, or later while a dispute about the sale is open. The hold lets ChartLabs catch fraud and early disputes before money leaves.
- A payout is sent only while your Stripe account is active and in a country Stripe supports for ChartLabs payouts: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland. You cannot sell paid strategies from other countries.
- If the payout cannot be sent because your Stripe account is not active, ChartLabs keeps your share for up to 90 days from the sale. After that ChartLabs may refund the buyer, and you are not paid for that sale.
- Stripe moves money from your Stripe balance to your bank on the schedule shown in your Stripe account.
5. Refunds and disputes
- If a sale is fully refunded, or a buyer's dispute is lost, before your payout, you are not paid for that sale.
- If a buyer opens a dispute, ChartLabs holds your share for that sale, or takes it back if it was already paid, until the dispute is decided. If it is decided in your favour, ChartLabs pays you what it held or took back.
- If a sale is fully refunded after your payout, ChartLabs takes back your share for it.
- A partly refunded sale is reviewed by hand: ChartLabs may pay less or nothing for it, or take back part of a share already paid.
- To take back a share, ChartLabs first reverses the transfer in Stripe. If your Stripe balance cannot cover it, the amount is kept from your next payouts until it is repaid. You agree to repay any amount still owed.
- You give ChartLabs the information it needs to answer a dispute about your strategy.
6. Taxes
- ChartLabs charges and pays the VAT on sales to buyers where it is required.
- You are responsible for tax on your own income from these sales, and for any VAT or similar tax on what you supply to ChartLabs.
- ChartLabs may ask for tax information (for example a VAT number, or a W-9 or W-8 form for US tax purposes) and may hold payouts until you provide it.
7. Stripe
Payment processing services for creators on ChartLabs are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (together, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to sell on ChartLabs, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as Stripe may modify it from time to time. As a condition of ChartLabs enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to give ChartLabs accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorise ChartLabs to share it and transaction information related to your use of those services with Stripe. Stripe processes your personal data as described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and ending
ChartLabs may change these terms. You must accept a changed version before you publish or change a paid listing. Listings you published before stay on sale under the version you last accepted. You can stop selling at any time by unlisting your strategies. Amounts owed either way (section 5) survive.
9. Law
These terms are governed by Swedish law.
